Moving wasn’t the problem

I call bullshit.  No way a Dodge of that era was going 15mph reliably.

My grandmother, an Orthodox Jew, left Poland as a teenager and moved to Detroit where she got a job working for Dodge Brothers in the late 20's/early 30's. I always wondered if the logo inspired her to apply for the job.

Doesn’t every good art exhibit have a theme or some kind of overall point? What does this one have? I can’t figure out anything to unify this exhibit beyond “here’s some random automobiles.” I can think of a few themes that would explain most of the collection, but there’s always one car that just doesn’t fit.

Maybe I’m crazy but I think all these cars previously appeared on display or in exhibits unrelated to cars in general? I think this is literally just them putting a bunch of cars they happened to possess on display and calling it an exhibit. I’ve definitely seen a few of those before.

The Cisitalia first appeared at

This has to do with cars because...they used a Penske truck? You’re not even trying on this one.

I owned an ‘01 Miata. Service interval for timing belt replacement is 60,000 miles. That service typically includes replacing the water pump at the same time. Brakes by 87,000 miles isn’t out of the ordinary. Clutch? Yeah, probably should have lasted longer. O2 sensor is just an O2 sensor. Hard driving won’t make it

With just 87,000 miles on the clock, that’s a lot of wear items that seemingly wore out early on.

I’m not surprised the ad has been pulled already. Yellow is the rarest Miata color and is much sought after among diehard MX-5 fans. With those pasted on panels I wouldn’t be a buyer but it’s still a fair price. If it were in original condition it would be worth more and I would have given serious thought to looking

It’s probably a nice price, but god damn if that body kit doesn’t need to come off. That’s some boy racer, Fast and the Furious shit that hasn’t been trendy in well over a decade.

Until you find the next “holy grail” Jeep a couple weeks later

Nightmare two-car garage you say?

The things that worry me about this idea is that if they had done it, and it worked:

Potentially unpopular take: Mazda should just skip the hybrid Miata and go full EV. An inherently complex hybrid powertrain is anathema to what the Miata stands for- lightweight simplicity.

I was thinking something similar. I mean the Tesla Roadster squeezed into a Lotus and that was with 2008 tech. I’d imagine less mechanical parts leads to a little more freedom to place things where you want to keep the balance perfect.

Gosh i didn’t quite realize the newest gen were quite so tiny!! not even sure a few AAA’s would fit in there!

Having ruminated on this a bit since it was in the morning shift, the 5 minute stipulation seems too short, compared to charging time. Every time we discuss BEV charge times, people pop in with “No big deal. You were going to stop for lunch and to stretch your legs anyway, right?”

Kind of a fact...street/strip or “race” parts are really meant for racing.  You’ve got to be realistic with yourself about how you’re using your car when making modifications. “I need a street/race transmission, cuz my car isn’t stock” leads to ridiculously harsh shifts that are miserable in daily traffic. That race

For being a decommissioned road, it is extraordinarily well known. I lived near it in Illinois for years, and met a lot of foreign tourists who cane to the US to buy a car and drive it. Heck, a friend of mine in California met his German wife that way!!

Coming from Australia there are a couple of things I find hard to handle about the USA. HOA telling you what you can do in your own property? Working 4 jobs just to stay alive. How is this freedom?
