Why all the scorn? Fuck Elon stans, launch was still a major success: it was a proof-of-concept and showed engine reliability is the primary issue. It’s also impressive considering the engines and fuel used are experimental.

Was the Cascada really that bad? It always looked to me like a reasonably fun car for the kind of person who’d buy a Buick in the first place.
If the front trunk is a frunk, isn’t a back (normal) trunk a bunk?
This thing is such genius. Making economical EV’s that people want to buy while battery prices are still this high is obscenely difficult. If you’re really trying to kickstart EV’s in your company (the Bolt and Volt are OK but also you get the sense the accountants hate their guts), do some bonkers shit like making…
Don’t you mean references to the “Daht”?
Reluctant NP only because of all the memories of Car Talk references to the Dart. $8k is stomachable though a bit spendy. It would be a solid NP at like $6750.
When the alternative to a MT was a really bad AT it was cause for the pitchforks. Now the AT options are really good (Mustang) and they are actually (marginally) faster to boot. Personally I would like to have a manual for an older or lower hp vehicle, but a modern vehicle would be fine with an AT and some paddles.
My frustration is that nearly all manufacturers missed the transition from “manuals are for cheap loser cars only” to “enthusiasts with disposable income want manuals in their enthusiast cars.”
I’m not really shook up when stick shifts disappear from commuter grade appliances like the Accord (to name a recent example). Their traditional advantages in cars like that (cheaper up front, better gas mileage, faster acceleration) aren’t really true anymore. Yeah, they’re more fun to drive, but comparatively…
Lexus confuses me. I’ll admit that I understand the appeal of the RX, it’s a well built CUV and has a long reputation for the brand. This can maybe extend to the NX but I have no idea who is shelling out for a UX.
Have you tried fawning praise of Tesla and everything it does? Maybe you should try fawning praise... They’ll probably like you then!
“You guys are always complaining about panel gaps; this was the easiest solution.”
Nah, this car is a mess. The seller has wisely chosen to move on. The buyer would be wise to talk him down a good $3k to sort out the engine, exhaust, and convertible top issues. ND.
Miata prices have become..... problematic recently. That aside, unless you are a Porsche mechanic and have access to the correct ecu via a junkyard, this will take a multiple of the purchase price to get running reliably
Poop size is more of a ratio to the weight of the pooper than a flat number, isn’t it? To a 200 lb human, a 150 lb poop would mean certain death, but to a 4000 lb car, a 150 lb poop is the equivalent to an 8 lb poop for a 200 lb human. That’s a big poop, but probably not impossible.
I am a human and I contain multitudes.
Maybe I’m in a bad mood today. Maybe that was the most lackluster cobbled-together unveil packed with outright lies I’ve ever seen and I don’t feel like dealing with Elon’s bullshit anymore.
In fairness, the Demon is dumb as hell and should never have been made. The Lucid’s…
I generally like the design of the new 3 series, and the side and rear shots for the M3 look pretty good. But the snout on the M3, which is carried over from the new 4 series, just looks out of place. I’ve heard the this snout design choice works better in person (I have yet to see it outside of photos), but I can’t…
Some aftermarket company is going to make bank with different bumpers for this car.
