They don’t have nearly the chassis rigidity. That chassis rigidity is not by accident and requires a significant amount more metal thickness and cross-bracing. This is what gives the 3er it’s connected feel and great crash test results. That and the sound deadening, tech, and more comfortable interior materials all

After some googling, I am surprised to find them so similarly-dimension-ed, despite being in different EPA classes. I’ve spent some time in both, the Altima seems cavernous on the inside comparatively.

How does the 330 weigh 300 pound more than a Nissan Altima for example.

Better?

Meanwhile, inside the patrol car...

*EPA-estimated fuel economy

It’s not as bad as I had feared... although it’s clear that BMW is committed to busy front end design these days. Lots of lines...

Busy mess ?

I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t offer a manual. Any time I’ve been in the market and asked for a manual the dealers have looked at me like I had snakes growing out of my head.

Restore under factory conditions under the exact original factory specs.

I’m so confused. So.... even though Trump has initiated the plan to roll-back Obama era fuel economy targets and has taken us out of the Paris climate accords.... the EPA wants to go after our car tuning community... now. Now that’s it’s nowhere near what is was back in the day?

Am I the only person who doesn’t care about high-horsepower turbo motors? Like, the numbers just feel meaningless. Show me a 900HP naturally aspirated motor and I’m amazed; Show me a 900HP turbo and I shrug.

Difference being that the LS7 will survive 500HP all day long with natural aspiration, whereas this is very firmly in the “run it until it explodes” camp, and suffers from turbocharging.

Neutral: New techs are always welcome, but 1. Driver education and awareness is still (and I believe will always be) the most important, and 2. Analog is still the best!

Indeed, it sounds like he’s answering two separate questions - Will it have a manual? (A: we built it, depends on whether you people will buy it) and Will it come in right hand drive? (A: Of course you morons it’s a Japanese car company and Japan is a RHD country)

I think manual has a “prestige” here, in a suffer for fashion kind of way. If it’s the standard rather than the exception as it is in most countries, that prestige doesn’t exist.

JDM market is more unforgiving about shift quality.

I thought this was ridiculous but the more I scroll and read, the more I’m sold. If I have FU money, this wouldn’t even be a consideration - of course I’m buying this.  It’s the story I can tell at the country club that my peers in their S550s and 750is can’t touch - that’s what the $23k is for.

The Lexus LS with available fine Kiriko glass..”

“We have developed it, yes, there is hardware ready. Right-hand drive? Yes, of course. It needs to be sold in Japan, which is a right-hand drive market,”
