its mostly for design and break up what is a tall bumper due to pedestrian regulations. If the grills really had holes in it, it would ruin the aerodynamics and mileage.

Try driving them back to back not driving 10/10th. I test drove them back to back. ST feels quicker and lighter on its feel with normal driving. RS doesn’t feel that special when you’re not driving it to the limit.

I sold my xbox one couple months ago looking to buy a Scorpio... with the drop drop of S and games coming to xbox. I don’t see any reason to drop 499 on a X unless you’re a hardcore microsoft fanboy.

The new Type R has a comfort damping mode, however good that might be. Either way, Golf R is just too plain and boring to drive. Focus RS is bit in the middle, great when you fling it but daily driving it feels even slower than the ST and heavier. Type R should be the one that puts the grin on the drivers face day…

If the new one is as exciting to drive as the last one, type R is the one that feels the sharpest and hardcore on the track. RS and R is more of a compromise.

3rd pipe is more of a resonator. It sucks air in in low revs to eliminate cancel out drone and in the high revs it blows out tuning the sound to make it sound nicer.
