How does it work outside the car? Since everyone I know has a smartphone and has the ability to tether or create their own hotspots, I really can't see the value of this beyond traveling into an area where you don't have service, but that would be in other countries, so...

Here's your Nissan ZOOM ZOOM!

Bought a new Tacoma about 8 years ago. It was t-boned a few months later with only 5K miles on it. I begged to have that thing totaled because I knew it would never be straight again and sure enough, after 3 months of work, going back and forth with the 3 different shops, it was never put right. The bed sat off to one

Yep, fire suppressant.

Good luck buying one at MSRP.

I agree - where is all the weight coming from? Volt has twice the E-range and only weighs 200 lbs more and no carbon fiber on it, if I recall.

It's a cool looking car that actually looks like it weighs as much as a Lotus Elise dripping wet, masking that hefty 3500 pound curb weight real well. I do take issue with this being the "vision of the future." It's a hybrid right? They have been around 15 years or so if you haven't noticed. And while this combines IC

They actually marketed those as cross overs and I had one. Nice all the way around. I didn't have the AMG, but did have the R500 V8 and it was a rocket.

How do you explain big trucks barreling down narrow roads? I don't buy this research. Narrower roads introduce other safety issues, including bike and pedestrian safety because of the lack margins for passing safely.

Agree. That rig had no business inside the safety walls, at that corner, in those conditions. Just not a smart move in hindsight. But I think a combination of factors contributed, especially the weather.

Gotcha. It's marketed as S20E7 for download on Amazon.

Where's the "Worst car in the history of the world" S20E7 - I don't see it ranked...

I don't know, car looks pretty nice there cruising around the city. Can't be all that bad. Seems to be a severe lack of red cars in Manhattan judging from these pics.

We need enclosed bikes with integrated roll cages - a little two wheel car, but can still lane split and is almost car-like safe in collisions, and can be driven in poor weather. Oh wait we have those. Anyhoo...

Mistake 1> using uber

Well that makes sense. It's not so bad as this article makes you think :)

It is a safety issue. The shut down should work like this: Once activated, it triggers an alarm in the vehicle with a message: "The vehicle will be disabled for failure to pay." then when the car is turned off by the driver, it cannot be restarted. Much safer this way I would think.

Too close for comfort.

If they were .5 seconds faster, this moment here could have got very interesting.
