I’ve never seen one with the top cut off in KC. Where are you? Is that common? That actually doesn’t sound like a terrible idea. A friend has one with almost 300k miles and its been a terrific car for him.

I don’t know shit about 401K’s but is there any scenario that this would work out in favor of your boss? If for example, you expected the market to tank and not recover in the time it takes to pay back the loan?

Meh, they’re ok but lots of trouble and FWD. My brother had an 850R sedan and it didn’t feel right putting that much power through the front wheels. I think I’ll keep mine.

Didn’t they dissolve that partnership a few years ago?

That’s one of the many reasons I don’t appraise in the ‘hood any more. That and everyone thinks I’m a cop, even while driving a bright yellew CRX Si. Of course a friend had his new BMW stolen while appraising in one of the nicer areas of Phoenix so you never know.

Something similar just happened where I live. Dude bumped the car in front of him, bumpee went into the guardrail, driver died, bumper is in jail for manslaughter. Everybody loses.

He doesn’t really sound that surprised or upset

I agree. I had an ‘89 and put crazy miles on it. It actually didn’t seem that bad until I bought another car and drove them back to back. Only then did I realize how exhausting it was to drive long distances.

Chicken or the egg?

I was there. It was amazing.

Worst car I ever owned was a 1995 two door legend with the type II engine. Could only afford to put about 2000 miles on it in the 3 years I owned it. Looked beautiful sitting in the garage though.

This is true, girlfriend had one as a company car and nothing ever went wrong with it except the transmission which went out at 110k miles.

Still the best show I’ve ever seen

Did animal control do anything?

Agreed. I don’t care for soccer that much, but Sporting KC games are a blast and its a great atmosphere. I even watch games on TV now and then because they are on a local broadcast station. I still hate the diving and the fake injuries and bad acting but considering how much I used to hate soccer its a big step.

Amen, brother!

I might be biased as a Mizzou fan but I think Chase could be a league average QB if given the chance. He had some decent games against the Chargers in the two starts he had in KC. Could have been 2-0 if the refs get the call right on the FG in the first game. His preseason numbers have been very good IIRC.

Yeah, I kind of miss Thome. I don’t miss the 49 HRs he hit off the Royals though. Seems like it was a lot more than that.

IIRC Jim Thome hit a Greinke eephus pitch almost to the scoreboard at Kauffman.

He has spent more time playing a single game than you probably have all of the video games.
