Considering that all of the AW11's are 30+ years old at this point and probably older than you are, I think they’ve held up pretty well for something you say was “cheaply made”.

At the time (20 some years ago), it was a 15 year old car with more than 100K on it that I got in trade for a car stereo system. Of course it could be improved! I spent maybe $500 on new shocks, a set of Eibach’s and some much better tires and it was much better than when I got it.

I owned one and I completely disagree with you. The body roll was easily fixed with some suspension upgrades. Sure, it’s not a fast car by any means, but still hilariously fun to drive for what it is.

I don’t know where you’re getting 21,000 RPM for this motor, nearly every source I’ve seen on this motor quotes the redline at 11,500. Do you have a source for this figure?

You’re technically correct. However, in nearly all production turbo systems, the thermal energy recovered from the exhaust is only used to spin the turbine, which in turn spins the compressor on the intake side of the engine. As I mentioned before, the compression side of the equation generates extra heat that’s

No, an intercooler removes the heat generated when the compressor side of the turbo compresses the incoming air. Cooler air means denser air enters the engine, which results in more power. Cooler air also reduces the chance of detonation (knock) occurring, and that will keep the ECU from retarding ignition timing,

To my ears, a good inline six sounds way better than any V8.

Crap like this really makes me miss the simple, grilleless designs of the 90's.

Up until recently, I daily drove a WRX with a stage 2 clutch in SoCal traffic. Did it suck? Sure. Did it get me to buy a vehicle with an automatic?

Hold on...y0u don’t need a CARB EO numbered part for a cat-back, aftermarket exhaust, as long as everything forward of the main catalytic converter remains untouched. I’ve owned numerous cars with aftermarket cat-back exhausts and have never had an issue with this at a smog station or with the cops here in CA.

Now this is more like it! Fortunately, I had the privilege of owning one back in the late 80's! Would do so again, if I could find one that’s semi-affordable and not rusted to shit.

As a gearhead, I could (and would) totally ignore the Amazon and the Willy’s, they just have zero appeal to me.

The only one I really care about!

What I see every time I see that new RAM grille...

As a former owner of a really beat up, rusted out E28 with an automatic that was previously owned by heavy smokers that got $500 from a junker for it, even with over 230K on the clock. And that’s just when the clock stopped working, I’ll still call this NP. What the Eta lacks in power it gains in reliability. While

I’ll call this MP...Meth Price. There’s no other reason to pay this much for an Aztek than methamphetamine.

After watching a neighbor wrench on his VR4 for way longer than I had my Eclipse GSX in my garage, this is a hard crack pipe! Not an easy car to work on by any means. Totally not worth it for a FWD car, I could buy a 4th gen Maxima that runs for not much more money than this that would wipe the floor with this car and

I’m all for bringing back cheap mid-engine cars, just not any made by GM. The MR2 was light years beyond the Fiero at the time. Not just talking out my ass, I drove both the Fiero 2M4 and the Mk1 MR2 in the 80's.

I finally saw one of these in person on the freeway this morning, It is a nice looking car. I’d consider it if I was in the market for a new car. I’d consider it a lot more if I could get the V6 with a manual.

It was the lack of afterburner that hurt the jet!
