Maybe in ‘Merica, that’s how it works...but in ‘Murica, it’s Harley and bust!

Here in ‘Murica, we’d just drop a Harley V-Twin in place and call it a day.

I still have a rivet gun from the time when a friend of mine had an A4 1.8, during which I replaced 3 window regulators (both rears and the drivers) within a 6 month period!

Is this on an unmodified WRX?

It’s been a while since I owned a del Sol, but if I remember correctly, those stripes were color matched to the body. Either these aren’t the original seats, or this car was originally green.

Since it seems a bunch of people here (including the author) don’t know the difference between Antilag and Launch Control...

Seems appropriate...after all, the original 1965 Mustang, in convertible form, was also the “hairdresser’s car” of it’s time.

You’ve just brought out two more examples of vehicles that still exist mostly because aging boomers still want a piece of the “good ‘ol days” or because their kids always wanted a Challenger or a Vette like Dad had back in the day.

I’ve always had a thing for the Stinger since I first saw it in person at the San Diego Auto Show sometime in the early 90's. Especially the twin, center mounted Supertrapp’s sticking out the back.

Here’s all I need in the center console...

What you really mean is this was a fusion boosted fission bomb, where there’s a standard fission bomb with Tritium or Deuterium (usually both) in the center, which when compressed and heated by the fission reaction will boost the yield of the device more than double it’s original design yield with just the Plutonium

So what if it does fall out of the tree? It’ll fall on her property, doesn’t affect her neighbors at all. Hopefully, you live in a nice, tidy HOA community where you’ll see nothing like this.

I’ve been taking the slow boat to power on my WRX. Got the car about 4 years ago (a 2006 WRX TR) with a little over 100K on it and literally no mods, the engine bay was literally virginal.

The first thing I spent money on...timing belt replacement right at 105K. Still running the stock turbo and intercooler, although

I’d read way too many horror stories on various forums, so I wasn’t terribly surprised when I pulled the stock one and found the crack.

This pic was taken just after I pulled it out. It was just a hairline crack until I pushed on the flange with my thumb. Had I left it much longer, this engine would have been done.

See, the thing is that bikes don’t need direct injection. There’s no pressure on bikes to get better fuel economy or lower emissions and they make more than enough power without all that extra cost, weight and complexity that a high pressure, direct injection system would bring along with it. Even race bikes can’t

Even the analog dashboards with dials have long just had a computer input and a power input and all the data is just fed in via the ECU. Pretty much since CAN-BUS became prevalent in most cars by the turn of the century.

Almost looks like they swiped it from a motorcycle. The general layout is quite similar to the dash on my 2015 V-Strom

Sometimes, you have to take matters into your own hands if you want oil temp and pressure gauges...

Fortunately, I was kinda paranoid one day and decided I’d just replace my pickup while I was already lifting the engine up to replace the motor mounts. It was just a hairline of a crack, but it opened right up with a slight push on the flange. This is on a 2006 WRX with about 130K on the clock.
