I am both proud and grateful for Swift for taking a stand on this. Women are always told to just brush the incidents off and not cause trouble or (ugh) to ‘take it as a compliment’. Calling you out to take responsibility for grabbing MY ass doesn’t make me a shrew. It makes you a person that doesn’t know how interact…
OMG. She didn’t lie about her age. That’s why she won the lawsuit. No one is saying that the photos are wrong. The lawsuit positively proved that she never lied about her age. That’s what she was upset about, the fact that someone accused her of lying, not her age.
The Mormon women ALSO say it’s specifically their choice, not their parents’, and that they can (and do) take it off whenever they want. They, like the Muslim girls, have been brought up to believe this. Its cultural brainwashing.
I’m sorry but as someone’s whose lived it, that is bullshit. The head scarf is just as damaging to women as the mormon dress code. Its the same thing with the same ideas behind: control over women using ‘morality’.
I know I should be on the side of the mother...but I just can’t. I grew up in a community with VERY religious mormons. They controlled what their daughters wore all the time and were obsessed with modesty and purity. It seriously messed up some of them. My best friend is still in therapy to this day. Yes, women should…
Nope. Someone’s just been poor as fuck and had people all her life shit over the affordable option.
That looked so nuts I had look it up.
“I knew she had a lotta potential and I knew—I felt like I was put in that position to kind of help her.”
Tourism?
Oh thank god.
Because how other people live their lives typically involves asking me to buy them shit or endure nasty side comments from them or from family members who they tattle to when I don’t.
Popular patterns are also often the most affordable, of course.
Based on the obnoxiousness of the Facebook post (mothers who refer to themselves as ‘Mama Bears’ are usually self-righteous dingbats) I’m going to side with the reviewer. It sounds too odd yet too specific to just make up.
I’ve been noticing some backlash against the WW movie growing recently. Some totally fair/interesting and some just to be contrary or to appear smarter/more liberal then everyone else.
I can’t believe I clicked on this stupid thing. This is also why people get so annoyed with the Left.
I find all newer Tom Cruise movies unbelievably boring. They largely consist of several key things:
I total believe it. Although in all fairness I was once asked how many guns I owned by a guy from York. I told him I’d never had one and he refused to believe me.
I agree with this 100%. Me and my grandparents that lived through the depression seem to have a lot in common. Especially when it comes to views on money, banks, buying every day items, etc.
her being a Scientologist irl is both very ironic and also disturbing because, hey, violent cults and whatnot.
