Not a happy experience for me. If I’m going to an automated wash it’s because I need to wash something off now and don’t have the time to do it right in my own driveway, and I feel bad about it. We’ve had heavy pollen for almost a month where I am and the good wax job I did on my rx7 last summer is enough that I can

He wanted to push it to the limit. As he said in the video the real mistake was messing with 2-step settings on a hot day, something most rotaries will never see, and definitely not a good idea.

He definitely comes across like that at times. From previous videos it’s clear that he wanted to see just how far he could push that engine without building it up any more and succeeded in setting the rotary half mile record with it. He’s also the guy building a 4-rotor AWD FD that I assume will be treated as less of

Detonation. I don’t know which rotors he was running, but FD rotors (and likely 20B) rotors are lighter than the older ones and the faces are more susceptible to dents from detonation. It’s not unusual for engines running high boost to have rotors that look like that and Rob was definitely running a lot of boost.

I’m going to be rebuilding mine soon. 30 years and 145k miles on a Turbo-II engine isn’t bad and other than the oil control rings being shot it still runs just fine and pulls hard. I’m just ready for more boost and no more oil smoke at redline.

I genuinely like Negronis, but I also genuinely like Aviations when apparently nobody else does.

I doubt the Sultan would notice given how well (poorly) most of the car’s seem to be cared for.

Now playing

Usually I’d agree but this seems like it would be as amazing as an RB26 rebuilt na and stuffed in a 240z. Since 400hp is presumably plenty in this car all the turbos are going to do is add weight and remove sound. It sounds great:

Until you lose your license and can’t drive.

I have coworker who owns one and she loves it. I don’t really understand given all the competition in the 3 row minivan but not a minivan segment, just can’t fathom Chrysler having the best one for the price.

Vermont syrup is better anyway :-p

In a world where all those things are designed for SUVs and large sedans they’re already difficult to use from a small sports car. I usually have to open the door or get out for ATMs and drive through as it is.

I’m around the same age and started with the first Final Fantasy at a too young an age. I didn’t realize there was more to the game after the first Garland encounter until years later and ended up loving it.

I love a French press, but it’s not quick and it takes a few to clean.

Good beans in a French press or an aeropress should taste great without sugar. IMO if I need to add sugar it’s not worth drinking.

What about us weirdos that can drink a quart of coffee 5 days a week and then accidentally stop for a month or more without headaches or other issues? Why don’t we have the same withdrawal symptoms?

To be fair at least some of us admit it’s somewhere between a 2 and 4 stroke but not really either. I burn plenty of 2 stroke oil in mine and revel in smelling like I’ve been mowing the lawn.

Missed the weight and brand part first time around. I’m just going to listen to Mazda and use 20w50 on the weight side. As far as brand, I used royal purple for awhile and it was fine but it’s happy with Castrol GTX like every rotary nut says to run. Just do what the rotary likes and it will sing to you.

In most cars I’ve owned you can’t really tell, but in most cars the oil is still in pretty good shape when you change it. In my Civic’s case, running full synthetic, the oil isn’t a issue after doubling what the car’s computer thinks is the life of the oil, though the filter has probably reached its limit.
