The crazy rotary part of me wants an RE5 almost as bad as a REPU even though I don’t yet ride. I’ve heard of some of the other bikes but they’re so rare this is the first time I’ve seen pics of anything but the RE5.
I ran into that too often when I was looking for mine. Call the seller only to hear, “the engine was rebuilt and then it sat in storage for 10 years before I bought it, it’s running great now”, eh no thanks. Keep an eye out, prices for clean ones have been rising over the last few years.
