Robopocalypse intense? Mind-blowing? That's quite the stretch. It had a few brilliant moments (the one that really sticks with me is the initial encounter in the ice cream shop) but didn't hang together as a whole.

There was something mechanical about Robopocalypse's storytelling. It didn't give me any emotional rush, it felt like an okay blockbuster movie, like the Total Recall remake or Robocop remake or something.
Agreed, I found it a thin knock off of World War Z. I liked it well enough for what it was, and would buy it in the $4.99 range.
I wouldn't call Robopocalypse "intense" or "mind-blowing." More like "underdeveloped." I did like it, but it was one of those rare books that needed to be at least 100 pages longer.
