@Travis: Not true, you can actually call your Google Voice number and then enter the number you want to connect to. It's a bit more involved, but that's the new price you'll pay...

@ilfn143: m.google.com/voice - it works the same...
Pimp!
It'd be different if I didn't have to pay an extra $5 to watch a damn movie in 3D
@Rosa Golijan: Well how the frack does that occur?? Every option I see does not allow for video chats... (not your fault) but this app ain't the best design in UI...
Damn that title is a tiny bit misleading.... The Nexus One's sales direct from Google is dead, but I can assure you the device is very alive and well.
Video chat with Fring? I have an Evo and I thought that functionality went away with Skype dropping support? Am I missing some option I'm unaware of?
@geowrian: "Apple has not been in the mobile phone business for over 30 years" - you're right, only 3 in fact so where is this "long term growth" they've been able to sustain? iPod? Mmkay, you got less than 9 years. That's one product line.... Hardly proof of a company that shows its sustainability.
@KillerBee: Yup. Fragmentation, whether they want to acknowledge it or not is now occurring in the Apple ecosystem
@geowrian: I would hardly say a company that's been around for over 30 years with half a decade of success a company that "knows how to maintain growth over the long term." Apple was on the verge of bankruptcy in the '90s.
Seriously, my Zune Pass is starting to lose a bit of its shine looking at something like this... Very tempting... If Zune came out with an Android app, I would be in heaven!
I loved this movie in Imax all the way up until the part where the projector stalled... we sat in darkness for 20 minutes before they gave us refunds. It was the final showing of the night so we're going back Friday... Can't wait...
@iMattv4: Google's cheating? Really? Business is war, and all is fair in... onm...
@geowrian: I think Apple will stall out before Android does. Multiple OEMs, multiple carriers, multiple models to choose from, and nearly unlimited customization.
@usedtowork: ...and you'll die just as fast. There's a reason there's a saying "Eat like a king" - kings often died of coronary disease from their heavy consumption of "choice" cuts of meats.
@nuclearlove: 100 Million can be singular. There is 100 million tomAYtoes, there are 100 million tomAHtoes.
Google 411 has already replaced 411 for me. 1-800-GOOG-411 is all I need...
@Wadetalon: when someone goes on stage with all the pageantry that is the iPhone announcement, you had better have all your ducks in a row or you stand to lose a lot of respect and that's exactly what's happened here. No other cell phone company does what apple does so there's no huge backlash if a problem arises.
This is exactly why I don't ever want to see the iPhone on Sprint. It's a network hog!
Can you imagine if Toyota came out with excuses like Apple? "All cars are built with defects... It's a fact of life... deal with it." Both are industry leaders, but one eventually apologized and fixed the problem without the mention of how great their product was. The other, gloated and pointed, and still never…
