@mattisfantastic89: It's all fruity if you ask me...
See! I told you I called it - that's the "big" announcement tomorrow!
When Apple sells you a lemon...
"We were stunned to find that our algorithm was way off, but thankfully, with this new update that was released yesterday, iOS 4.1, should resolve all the issues with dramatic signal loss."
Ya know, after thinking about this, it's no wonder HTC can't keep up with demand. It produces many, many different models for various carriers. While this bodes well for the proliferation of Android, it doesn't help Sprint's desire to take more of the pie. Sprint should have made some exclusivity demands in its…
@boslok: Not to mention the 4 out of 5 highlighted articles at the top dealing with the iPhone in one way or the other.
Google should have taken it. WebOS multitasking in Android would have been great, and the intellectual property to fend off Apple to boot? Man, they missed a huge opportunity...
@Apples_to_Oranges: Agreed. I had a Pre, and if it weren't for the ridiculously slow hardware, WebOS could have flourished more than it did. HP does have a diamond in the rough, but if it can back it up with some better hardware, WebOS is definitely the best multitasking platform around...
@MazdaMania: Am I saying customization is wrong? No. Do I want Apple's draconian system? No. But to have all these messy skins that slow the advancement of the platform, and muddle up the experience hampers Android.
Its all about advertising, it seems to me. If Google can show users are interested in an ad by showing they hovered over it, they could taker this info back to marketers and say people like this, they don't like that...
I'll say it once and I'll say it again... Suckers! =P
I really hope Google takes in the reigns a bit with Gingerbread, to unify the whole Android user experience. Seriously, the whole Sense, Motoblur, Galaxy S, and even stock Android (not too mention skin apps created by devs) are seriously fragmenting users' experience.
@olternaut: Agreed. I hope Google takes Gingerbread more seriously and controls the user experience with a bit more grip. Sense on my Evo is nice, but is a fat resource hog/battery drain...
@Who the eff is GlassAdam?: Just went from a Pre to an Evo... Android owns webOS
I recognize this whole Droid branding, but I really don't get it. I have an Android phone, so do Verizon Android phones offer something my carrier or my phone doesn't (Sprint)? I get SprintTV, Football, and Nascar apps, so is this all perception? It really is lame if so...
Jobs in Co., gonna be out in full force Friday spinning it every which way but right, I bet!
Well, it all really came down to perception. 89% of actual Vista users were very happy with the OS (including me). Maybe this is the same thing with the iPhone 4...
I think... I don't really give a crap...
While Apple may have the finances to do this right now, is Apple a big enough company to sustain all these acquisitions? I mean Google is swimming in Search revenue and has a vast staff to do all this, but Apple?
