I can’t stand him but it’s because whenever he plays he seems to be doing nothing but trying to draw the refs into a shooting foul and it’s utterly repulsive to watch. It’s why I don’t see him ever winning big time playoff games, he spends the entire regular season drawing and getting ticky-tac shooting fouls then all

You can say that McHale shouldn’t have said this publicly but I think his statement is likely absolutely right on. You can’t put as little effort as Harden does into defense and still be the guy that a team looks to and follows... He would be a hypocrite everytime he tried to motivate the team to do anything.

I tend to believe McHale in this scenario. McHale and the coach who replaced him (Bickerstaff) pretty publicly criticized Harden which is rarely done to NBA players still playing, especially by coaches hoping to get back into the coaching game. Of course your current organization and coach believe in you, what else

I mean, who even gives a shit about the pop country act the dude accused of rape was touring with? It just comes across as dismissing the accusation and making it sounds like what you care about is the alleged rapist getting scorned by some country music singer because he’s black (and not, you know, arrested for

I don’t know though, it DID immediately make Harden defensive

That’s what you’re worried about?

Just wait until Chris Paul gives him the truth to his face.

There are also few people in the world more qualified to assess Harden’s leadership.

And a great Millennial response from Harden. B-but i’ve done a great job! I’ve done everything they’ve asked me to...ask my friends.

I’m not sure if it’s fair or rational, but the mere sight of James Harden drives me insane.

He might be a clown, but McHale isn’t wrong. Leaders do everything they ask of others. Playing defense would be covered by that statement. Kobe - Leader. Jordan - Leader. LeBron- Leader. Harden - Scorer. And I like Harden.

Jesus, are they just giving away coaching positions to everyone who appeared on Cheers or what?

“99.999% of black people know this is vile shit.”

WTF....

That’s what you’re worried about?

...I think I stumbled across the worst take...

He got away with it & wife stood by his side. Everyone moved on but every time I see anything about I mutter “rapist” to myself.

Rape accusations are bad enough, but opening for Florida/Georgia Line and having to park your tour bus at Walmart....this is all kind of low rent. All is not well there.

Same with Ben Rapelisberger and Jameis Winston. People love rapists if they are talented.

You should hear the screeching when I bring up Kobe Bryant is a rapist.
