No, but that’s what you put in a horror trailer to sell it. Just because it’s cut that way for the trailer doesn’t mean that’s how the film is shot.
I always got the feeling that 29 Neibolt Street and the house on Dutch Hill from The Dark Tower were “twinners”. I’m pretty sure they even have the same “happy elves” wallpaper.
The first one was passable, mostly ok, but I hate Garfield. The second one was terrible.
Spider-Man vs The Sinister Sixaxis
The media gods already reneged on that deal.
If Roland has the Horn of Eld and it isn’t his last time making it to the tower it’s a huge disservice to his character.
No, I’ve never read them. I was able to remember an obscure exchange from one of the books because I’m psychic. /end sarcasm.
You’re speaking to a Luddite here (covert DT reference). I prefer physical books myself, the smell, the texture. I still have an e-reader but don’t use it much.
He is saying this to Spidey it’s the same scenes as Spidey walking up to Vulture in the garage.
It looks as though they are going to be changing quite a bit from the books, so you don’t have to finish before watching it. I say read all the books because the story is great (in my opinion).
He is. Tweeting something to promote a movie using the number 19 as a wink to the series does not trump what was written in the books.
He’s made at least ten thousand. Says so in book seven.
Blaine can totally work. Just think of him as an even more unhinged HAL 9000.
Oh i agree it doesn’t cheapen what came before. It’s just that him having the horn means this is the canonical ending of Roland’s story and it cannot possibly live up to expectations. I think they should have went with the run before the book, things would be different but it still would have let us fans give Roland…
He doesn’t have to catch the bullet because a bullet from Roland’s gun wouldn’t hurt him. “That six-shooter will do you no good, as I think you know. “Not against me. Only misfires against me, Roland, old fellow.” Flagg to Roland in The Wizard And Glass. Only a gun from another world like Jake’s ruger could harm him.…
The horn is his “salvation” it’s the promise that this time he got it right, that after this run he may finally rest. When he approaches the Tower the roses make the sound of a horn and he is supposed to blow his in response. The fact that he has done this at least ten thousand times before without the horn places…
Yes there is, the fact that he has the horn means it’s the “correct” run. The run in the novels was the penultimate run, at the end he has the horn for the first time in perhaps thousands of attempts. It is clearly alluded to that now that he has it this is the last run, the one where he gets it right.
Ah so it looks like he wears his homemade suit later in the movie after Daddy Warbucks takes away the one he made for him. I think this would have worked better in the sequel so then Peter gets symbiote suit and that sets up Sony for their Venom movie.
Not really. I wanted the last go ‘round to be left to my imagination. I think it would have been more interesting to see a previous attempt to show how much worse Roland did then the penultimate version we got in the books. The fact that he has the horn means this is the time he got it right, it’s the definitive…
