My legs are prone to eczema in the winter so I don’t wash them. I’m wearing pants all day so they don’t get dirty from the environment. In the summer it’s a different story and I will wash them when necessary.

People keep acting like Pence had nothing to do with all of this. The dude lied about what he knew and when on national television. He knows.

I know lots of people who have two, either one at work/one for family or maybe one where they live and one where they grew up but yeah, 4 is absurd.

Some cats (and dogs to be fair) can learn to recognize the sounds of particular cars; when I was a teenager my cats would always meet my mom at the front window. My current kitties beeline for the front door when they hear the UPS truck or the schoolbus because they know the door is going to be opened. My dog knows

I was just a few months old so definitely not old enough to remember. I don’t think that it’s weird that her sister told her it was too late to back out, just that the tea towels seem like a bizarre detail to focus on.

Seriously!? That’s just bizarre. I’m also pretty sure that would have just made the tea towels even more of a collector’s item.

I have 2 moms and when we were dating my adorably confused (now) husband blurted out in the car “If you don’t have a dad who am I supposed to ask about marrying you?” I just looked at him and said “Me”.

He’s got a weird thing about some of these traditions (couldn’t stay with each other the night before the wedding or

I’m a SAHM and I worry about that with my kids a little. Best I can figure to do is teach my sons to do stuff around the house (right now I’m teaching my 8 year old how to load and run the washing machine) and make sure that my husband does a fairly equal share of childcare/housework in the evenings and on the

Every time my kids whine about it being too much work to clean up their toys I tell them I’m happy to throw away/donate them. Shuts them right up.

I painted my kitchen/dining room Maxine apparently. My mother thinks it’s a little weird but I love it.

I’m kind of amazed at how upset everyone is about this suddenly. It’s clearly just sort of formalizing the role she’s been acting in since before the election. It’s also another way for her to get herself in trouble if she lies on her security paperwork and they figure it out.

Lots of people have some sort of clearance who don’t directly work for the government. Contractors of course but also researchers, scientists etc. Usually because they have a government grant and their work requires access to restricted information and/or spaces.

Exactly! I’ve given birth vaginally three times and have had probably 15 regular pelvic exams. A lot of medical providers have had their fingers up inside me over the years and not once has anyone done it without requesting consent and narrating exactly what they’re doing every step of the way.

Because Kate Middleton is easy and everything else is really confusing.

My point is that people don’t boycott Walmart because of its corporate culture (which is more or less what you’re talking about). They boycott Walmart because they pay their sales associates poorly, devastate local economies, and they strong arm producers into lowering their wholesale prices so much that the producers

Kinda missing the point there. It doesn’t matter that the culture at Jet is better, Walmart the company is still horrible on so many levels.

That’s so much bullsh*t. My first performance review I got in trouble for not making enough of an effort to socialize with my co-workers. The example given was that I didn’t eat lunch in the break room. Wanna know why? I spent the entire year eating lunch with my students and not getting my (contractually required)

Fwiw almond milk isn’t exactly great for the environment either. It’s also not particularly healthy because it’s mostly sugar, water, and stabilizers (yum!).

My kids want to see it so I can pretend that I’m just going for them ;)

I think it’s a combo of neither of my moms being car people at all when I was growing up* and the fact that between finances being so tight for them for so many years and them having 5 kids you could only look at cars from a very utilitarian standpoint. My bio mom would tell you to this day that she’s not very good at
