Surely she’s got a manager or something though; someone who can tell her in a professional capacity that this stuff is not a good idea.

I don’t think that’s what he’s thinking. Pretty sure he knows the whole thing blew up in his face and that’s why he didn’t stop the others.
They did, but lots of people really weren’t paying attention the way they are now. The DeVos thing alone got a lot of parents involved who would never have considered themselves political before. That’s why they let two senators defect, because they know it’s going to matter.
One of the other senators did get to read the whole thing later after Mitch figured out he’d been really stupid.
It’s this weird place where the super far right bends so far around that it overlaps with the super far left.
Yeah, I learned to ski just before I turned 3 and had always figured that I’d teach my kids when they were little too because it’s way easier to learn. My husband and I had a few will we or won’t we conversations about it (I busted my leg badly skiing when I was 11 and we have a few friends and family who have torn…
It’s a reference to something in the book.
My husband and I are both skiers but we decided not to teach our kids.
The box technology has always been good. It’s just that as it’s become more mainstream better wines are being put in the boxes.
One of the reasons people lose weight on amphetamines is that their appetite is suppressed. This is clearly not a side effect that the cheeto suffers from.
Yeah, I mean Sessions is a horrible person but at least he’s a lawyer.
Well they’re certainly giving it to him. My in-laws moved to NC a few years ago and are not politically active but I asked them to call in opposition (specifically mentioning her stance on IDEA given that both my sons receive special education services). It took my FIL days to get through and even then he could only…
If you want to thank them or tell them you agree with something it’s better to send an e-mail or a postcard (or so I’ve been told by multiple staffers). Some have their websites set up so it’s easy to provide feedback on specific issues so you can try that rather than send an e-mail to their generic address.
Lots of training for running for office going on right now. There was on last weekend after the march by MoveOn (I think) and Emerge (which specifically teaches women to run) has been working overtime.
These are the DC ones that I know about so far; Tax March on April 15, Climate March on April 29, and Immigrant March on May 6. There’s also a potential scientist march in the works but afaik that one doesn’t have a date yet.
Probably more likely due to hormonal changes tbh.
I know it’s hard but ditch the VHS (and cassette tapes). Most thrift stores won’t even take them anymore because all the but the newest ones are too degraded to watch.
It’s a completely different world and we don’t have cable so my kids really only have experience with dvds and streaming services. They do know that not everything is available to stream especially since they’ve had shows they like disappear from the streaming services before or movies that they’ve seen in school be…
When we stood up after the credits of Moana my 7 year old son said “Will it be on the tablet at home?” He was very disappointed that the answer was no.
Oh absolutely. There’s so much overlap between our local BLM and TWW (Together We Will, more or less the former pantsuiters who want to actually do something) that we’ve joked about merging calendars to avoid scheduling conflicts.
