WTF is a “used floating mobile home”? Is that just a really weird way of saying used houseboat?
If it’s a dress and you get married in it then it’s a wedding dress ;)
As a fellow off-pink translucent I heartily agree. (and also did not wear white for my wedding)
I did too except for the weird strap going across the back (which I assume was structural). It felt awkward, like if they’d just raised the back of the outfit a little bit it wouldn’t have had to be a separate piece drawing attention to itself.
You just reminded me that I’ve been meaning to go over to my parents’ house while they’re out of town and retrieve my cabbage patch doll. She’s in a box under the bed but my mother the proto-hoarder has piled so much junk up in front of the bed that it’s going to take a while to excavate.
True, but it’s not exactly hard to purchase a gun should we need them (plus as someone pointed out upthread they would be going up against the military and they have lots of guns).
It’s not, but we generally give little kids a pass on these things. The rule of thumb is that dressing as a particular historical person is ok though so for example dressing as Pocahontas might be ok (if done correctly) but a generic “Indian Princess” or worse “Squaw” costume is not.
I was really not a fan of his during his season but as an actual human being out in the world I kind of love him.
It’s happening. If you go to a middle/high school in a reasonable progressive area a surprisingly large number of the kids are queer/gender non-conforming in some way and no one seems to care. I just found out this summer that one of my nieces is identifying as gay and another as gender fluid and it’s such a non issue…
Birth weight doesn’t correlate with difficulty as much as you might think. Head size and positioning have a lot more to do with it and fortunately mine had pretty average head sizes (although my first kept causing trouble by putting his hand up by his head and my third was facing the wrong way and didn’t tuck his chin…
You do know that sort of temperature reading is taken in the shade, not in the sun in a crowd full of people, right?
Technically you don’t have to labor a long time before you get an epidural. The guideline is usually that they don’t want to give an epidural before 4-5 cm dilation and “active labor”. For some people that takes hours and for some people it happens almost immediately (for my first two I woke up in active labor and was…
Like most things there are pros and cons to epidurals. I got one with my first and hated basically everything about it and the recovery/aftereffects. I much preferred my 2nd and 3rd births even though my third was actually the longest and with the most malpositioned baby (although he was technically my smallest at 9…
Imo Cindy Crawford’s daughter is just a tiny bit prettier than her mom was too. I think it’s the slightly smaller forehead.
Don’t they take hours if done properly? I swear I’ve read about victims who left in the middle because they couldn’t handle it emotionally (which seems like a completely reasonable response to having your body that closely examined for that long after being raped).
I think it would be a good idea if they provided a counselor to take the victim to the hospital and sit with them while they waited but yeah, I don’t think they should be doing the rape kits themselves.
I’m absolutely furious that we’re having to spend money making sure he doesn’t become president.
And you know if she’d been smiling they would have said she wasn’t taking it seriously enough. smh
