He doesn’t have any control over when it gets cross posted. In the past I’m pretty sure he’s said they kind of fit it in whenever so it depends on how busy the main site is that day.

My mother’s maternal grandfather was a water witch (aka a diviner).

It really does vary. My mom used M&Ms with my sister and I without issue but that wasn’t enough for my son. Then with my daughter I didn’t need an extra bribe at all; she was obsessed with flushing the potty so that was enough of a reward.

Have you broken out the really good bribes? After weeks of pee but no poop and on the advice of my MIL we had “potty presents” which were matchbox cars wrapped in tissue paper. Damned if it didn’t work right away.

Getting poked in the cervix is the absolute worst.

Get thee a maternity body pillow. I was skeptical but I finally broke down and got one for my third (and last) pregnancy and from the first night was kicking myself that I hadn’t done it sooner.

I have adhesions in my throat from all the heartburn during my pregnancies. I’d try to suck it up and just take tums for as long as possible but that just didn’t cut it. The first time I get woken up because there’s stomach acid in my nasal passages I break out the zantac.

Good luck!

My kids like holidays too. The older two have holiday adjacent birthdays (my daughter’s is Friday in fact) and I was hoping for St Patty’s day with my last but wound up with the first day of spring instead.

I am completely impressed by people who work full time (or more!) while they’re pregnant. My first pregnancy I was doing ABA therapy and during the first trimester I’d come home after teaching a 4 hour session and just collapse on the couch.

Yeah, but my point was that a reasonably well behaved 8 year old doesn’t need a baby sitter so the fact that store employees aren’t baby sitters isn’t relevant. I know lots of stores like that just have a blanket ban on kids under a certain age (usually the cutoff is in the 10-13 range) being in there without an adult

I’m thinking about hitting up the super sales and Joann’s and Michaels closer to Christmas when stuff is like 90% off. With an entire year I can probably bang out some stuff for next Christmas.

In Maryland the legal age your parents can leave you alone is 8.

Really? 8 is old enough to be alone in a store provided you behave properly. In Maryland that’s actually when you’re allowed to be without parental supervision.

I know. They’re all sitting in a box in the top of my craft closet. I should probably find some simple projects in the meantime but I just don’t have the time or space to be working on my “current” project which is a completely gorgeous Teresa Wentzler dragon.

I’ve been cross stitching since I was in 2nd grade. Unfortunately I’m 6 years into what will probably be an 8 year hiatus due to kids.

As a former special educator and the parent of a kid with a developmental delay/sensory issues I have to say that even if that kid did have special needs they were still shitty parents with an spoiled brat of a child. To begin with The Cheesecake Factory is an absolutely horrible choice of location and rewarding the

I get the free babysitting thing being an issue but there has to be a happy medium. There’s a sign at the children’s section of a library that we go to near my parents beach house that says “children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult” which is ridiculous (and made even more ridiculous by the fact that the

Economy of scale?

I’ve been a vegetarian for 17 years but I grew up only eating kosher hot dogs because my mom knew how gross the other kinds were.
