Do you know what's even safer?

I have always been of the opinion that the average American has the IQ of a carrot (thank you Real Genius) but every time I read about Goop I feel I owe the carrots an apology.

I pity your editor.

Of all the L&O’s, Criminal Intent is the only one I really miss. It was basically just a traditional 70's style whodunnit? in the mold of Columbo, McCloud, Barnaby Jones, etc. - which is why I loved it. Like most fans, I found the episodes without Goren and Eames less entertaining, though even those were still pretty

Weiss is German for white. Just saying.

I have the Ishiguro on pre-order, but honestly I’m so far behind on my current reading that I’ll have to hold off on everything else. (The Martine looks interesting, but I still have the first one in one of my tsundukos from the last couple of years.)

AOC showed up for us while Ted Cruz and Ken Paxton *spits on ground twice* absconded to Mexico and Utah during one of the worst weeks in the state’s history.

I cannot expect a white man to ‘know’ what’s it’s like to be a Black person or person of color, just as he shouldn’t expect me to know what it’s like to live a do-as-you-want consequence-free life of white privilege. All that I can ask of anyone regardless of the color of their skin, religious choices, education level

Jesus fucking Christ.

This is all on Biglari.

Here in St. Louis, Steak ‘n Shake was pretty prevalent. Off-hand, I can think of 5 locations that are within 10-15 minutes of my house. Sometime in 2019 (I think? Time no longer means anything...), a lot shut down “temporarily”. I’d say less than half have re-opened at this point, and at least a couple locations have

I don’t know. Is it hyperbole? Sure. But it is also legitimate that the team behind this rover spend that 7 minutes terrified that their multi billion dollar project and years of work may very easily burn up, crash or otherwise end in a few minutes before any exploration actually takes place.

That’s a weird virtue to signal....

All the Grave Digger/Coffin Ed novels are great,  not just Rage.

Agreed, this doesn’t seem like something needing to be said— anybody who is too stupid to parse “content” of “5 GROSSEST pimple pops” from like “The Godfather” as fundamentally different things isn’t going to be reading a Scorsese opinion piece in whatever the hell “Harpers” is.

Fortunately for Archie, she’s had experience with socially distant filming long before the pandemic, what with having to deal with that bs of a final scene with wiggedy wiggedy wack Juliana Margulies in the good wife ...

Also, couldn’t resist:

Recast it, ideally with someone less awful. “Yes it is I, Kera Dane or whatever! My ship crashed and they had to regrow my face with bacta, now let’s never talk about this again!” Easy peasy.
