Battery life is two months with wi-fi turned off.

You can't because Amazon uses a proprietary format, and probably DRM that forbids it, too.

Crowley is Scottish, he would probably drive a black car if he ever drove anywhere, and he hangs out with the angel Castiel a lot this season. He could easily be the same Crowley.

They did not. I'm still hoping for one, though.

Maybe, but I actually thought it was more like the cloning technology used in "The Sontaran Strategem".

I was surprised to see people talking about Rory being romantically interested in Jennifer and Amy being jealous. I thought it was exactly that Rory empathized with her and wanted to help her, because of his own experiences and because he's just that good of a person. I don't think Amy felt like her relationship was

I thought the same thing. I was sure that there was going to be a reveal that the Doctor or Amy or Rory was actually a Ganger.

Yeah, the three seasons of the show really only take place over a few weeks. It's especially apparent in season 3 when Eric wears that blue sweater for half the season because it's all the same day or two. But like jp182 said, in the books everything is much more spaced out.

He wears skirts sometimes, too. Fuck off.

Sam Neill AND Jorge Garcia? Yup, I'll be watching Alcatraz.

That one looks like a tiny Batmobile!

I think it's mostly because BBCA isn't really considered children's programming, and Doctor Who isn't marketed towards children over here.

Just because some of those examples happen to be British doesn't mean that there's anything essentially British about the concept. Furthermore, while Mary Poppins and The Sword and the Stone are originally British stories, the magic bags only appear in the American film versions.

I'd say it's a pretty general fantasy theme. Think of Mary Poppins' bag, Merlin's bag in Disney's Sword and the Stone, Hermione's bag in Harry Potter, the bag of holding in D&D... bigger on the inside is everywhere. I loved seeing it turned back around on a person in this episode, though.

Yes, yes, all of this, yes.

That's because servers in Europe get paid a real wage, while servers in America are forced to depend on tips to make up most of their pay.

Hey, that's how Neil Gaiman said he watched his first episodes of DW: from behind the sofa. He also has a great quote somewhere about writing scary things for young children. This isn't exactly the one I was thinking of, but it's close:

I was misremembering the screwdriver she had - I was thinking it looked more like Eleven's, but it doesn't really.

Doesn't River have Eleven's sonic screwdriver in Silence in the Library? I don't think Ten had any other encounters with River before regenerating.

But Walter kept telling him all the time that he collected coins as a kid. Maybe Peter just accepted that it was a thing he did in his childhood but didn't remember?
