@Ginger Gal: I never found David Thewlis that attractive, especially with his creepy PoA mustache, but in DH he was all beardy and sexy and I loved it.

@Ginger Gal: If I ever got a tattoo, it would probably be a HP tattoo. Although I might do the DH symbol or a quote instead.

@Thus Spake Kate is effulgent.: I work at B&N and nook is very user-friendly. We sell a lot of them to older folks who are not very techosavvy, and you have the added advantage that you can go into a store and have someone show you how to do something if you have questions. We'll also help nook owners register an

@moshee: Same here! I couldn't even manage a cartwheel, try as I might. I was not very athletic nor very coordinated.

Kerri Strug is so awesome. That was fucking epic and blew my ten-year-old mind. I was obsessed with all the US gymnasts that year!

@WaffleCopter: Ugh, yes, I thought of this when I saw that episode. It was pretty horrifying to watch.

@applejacks: Yes, that story was terrible.

@small-fox: Oh! In that case I like it even better. She would make a great Prim, but Prim doesn't get much screentime in the first book, so I understand them using this scene instead.

Not watching not watching not watching! I'm going to be seeing it in nine hours in IMAX, why would I want to watch any of it in low resolution on YouTube?

@small-fox: Yeah, that's what I figured.

@Origamido: Oooooh. Good one. A vial of Felix Felicis, maybe? Oh, so tempting.

@Zigzagoon: Yup, Rue and Thresh are black in the book. Perhaps they didn't have a young black girl the right age for the part. I'm not going to complain too much about a fan-made video, but I hope that in the actual movie they do get black actors.

@Apethetic Man!: I think it's pretty clear that Battle Royale has a pretty big fanbase in America, based on the number of comments exactly like this one that crop up in every single Hunger Games post on io9. I've read both, and while the basic premise (kids fighting kids in a battle to the death) sounds the same,

@entropymaker: Yes! I loved that. It also made the few brightly colored things, like Katniss' orange pack and the flowers, stand out even more.

This is excellent. My only complaint would be that Rue is supposed to be black, but this isn't the actual movie, and the girl they used here was very good.

Mmm, Sam Witwer. Always more Sam Witwer.

@euterpe35: Me neither. I don't think she's someone who's incredibly concerned about looking "pretty", especially when she just won the motherfucking National Book prize!
