I don’t know what’s worse: the near-daily sob stories of some underqualified fools who expect anything less than a “minimum” lifestyle while working a lower-than-entry-level job, or the pathetic excuses for “journalism” implying that the companies paying the underqualified fools are somehow treating said fools

Apparently some people feel it should exist as a career path?

I agree. It was never intended to be a full time job nor does it need to be. If someone wants to scrap by on uber alone that’s their choice but don’t expect me to feel bad.

When Uber came about, I thought it was a great way to make extra cash on the side. Apparently some people feel it should exist as a career path?

He had another job that he he quit to make Uber his full-time job. I wish all the drivers would start to drive for Uber as a way to make extra money and not as the one source of their income.

I feel like a lot of these full-time drivers are missing the point of Uber. It was originally conceived as a way to make some extra cash on top of a regular job, not to replace a full-time job entirely. Also, buying/leasing a new car just to drive for Uber isn’t exactly a wise choice. What I tell people is to find out

I guess this guy needs to get another job.
