I immediately called my brother (he’s at dialysis right now... still) right away after I read your reply. I asked if he knew about home dialysis, and he does. But only knew a little bit. Apparently I woke him up during his nap, lol. So I’ll talk more about it when he comes home tonight.

I think it was a thing they did via Medicare. The my impression was that the clinic wasn’t massive distance away as there were check in appts. I’m sure the machine had to be checked or calibrated too.

I had no idea you could have an at home machine. Was it because of logistical reasons?

I thought you knew providing that type of healthcare goes against the “pull yourself up by the bootstraps” all American attitude. Free health care creates a nation of lazy people. Just let us sickos die off in the corner somewhere.

That’s actually not completely true. Usually the courts try not to let there be a huge disparity in lifestyle/income between the two homes, because that’s bad for the kids and encourages them to favor the parent with more money.

I think about a year on transplant list, donor was deceased. Pancreas transplant happened as well, but it died or was rejected w/in a period of a yr or 2. Dialysis was about 3x a week I believe. I remember there being a scramble for childcare during appt times.

ALERT DEVICES?!? Seriously??? Wow, that’s amazing. Never heard about it at all before. I’m definitely going to look it up after this reply.

Thanks for the link. I actually found a bit of useful info reading about service dogs for epilepsy. I didn’t realize they attempt to pair you with the right dog who has the correct temperament. Making sure the temperament gels well with the recipient. Tbh, I’m not really sure what I expected. I guess I thought they

I have epilepsy too- it’s a bitch. They are coming out with new seizure alert devices (watches and whatnot) everyday and insurance companies are finally starting to catch up and cover some of them. There were some grants on epilepsy. Org as well if that helps at all. Hope you find a medication that works for you soon.

I can sympathize, and am also horrified.

That’s terrible and I hope you’re able to find the right medication to get your epilepsy under control at some point. I was going to ask if you wore a medical notification bracelet or necklace but you already do so that should help.

I’m sorry to hear that. That sounds pretty scary, and I think you are super badass for continuing to use public transportation.

8I recently developed epilepsy earlier this year. It’s frustrating because until I never know when an episode is going to hit me. I’ll have about a 10 second heads up before I can tell it’s coming. It’s especially scary when I’m by myself, and taking public transportation. Wondering how would anyone know what’s

Yeah how did you confuse “TDE” with “MAGA”??

I’m glad you said this because I have a theory that Rihanna gained weight in order to conceal a modest boob job...but the rest of the internet seems to disagree.

“You’re asking the wrong person… I don’t know, maybe it’s because I’m ‘thicc’ now.” She continued: “[Having a butt] comes with a price. You want to have a butt, then you have a gut.”

So how many women must be raped to qualify for sufficient evidence?

Here’s the dick pic she was flashing.
