Exactly -while I hate to defend Paramount, trying paint the proper rights holder as the evil oppressor and the Anaxar guys as innocent victims is bullshit. They were trying to make money - blatantly and openly make money - when they shouldn’t be and the production should be shut down.

I’m gonna be old guy here:

Um... no. You’ve clearly not worked in the movie business at all. Only animated films “shoot” only what gets included in the final movie, because it’s so expensive and time-consuming to render each scene. In live action films, every director working today films significantly more than appears in the final cut of the

I agree with this basically - that the smaller woman has to be more agile than the men and ‘gymnastics-esque’ flip and leg moves is a way to show this. A woman’s legs would be more powerful than a guy’s arms.

“Real directors know what the flow of a movie is, and film exactly that.”

Umm because it’s actually kind of difficult to topple someone with greater height/reach/mass/muscle than yourself? If they punch a guy in the chest they’re aiming a little above his center of gravity and he might get knocked back, but he’s probably not going to fall over.

Makes you wonder if the original draft Jyn and crew did make it back to the ship, and Vader boards and cuts them all down instead of just the rebels. That would have made that scene even more intense than it was!

Yeah, a desperate struggle against an EMPIRE should always have happy endings and unrealistic casualty rates that are always off stage.

Bob the intern was parking the TIE fighter, and accidentally flew into the shot.

Things could be pretty slippery down there already, from sweat and previous vaginal use of lube. Plus, if the woman is drunk, her muscles might be more relaxed. I definitely don’t think it’s all that implausible.

You know, Better Off Ted is one of my very favorite shows of all time. But all I really wanted from a half hour, comics, normal person comedy show was Damage Control.

We need the character now more than ever, and there’s no reason they can’t use in her future stories.

Will they just CGI her like they did with Peter Cushing? Because Tarkan was basically indistinguishable from people. My take on the goofy CGI Leia in Rogue One is that they were trying to match the coloring and visuals of the original films which look weird when paired with modern everything else.

121102, 1211102... what’s the difference. Now, please hand me 20mL of my medication. Or was that 2mL? Whatev-

“We’ve joked about spaceship battles and death stars blowing up, but we think we can explain it with ordinary physics”

Yup. And they’re also mind-bogglingly and matter-meltingly powerful.
