There are taxes on “all the new rich people.” It’s the sky-high cost of rent which subsidizes all the required low-income housing peppered throughout the city. My brother and his wife pay ~$5k/month for a tiny apartment that provides the same apartments in the same buildings to poor people.

Honest question - are there not homeless shelters in SF? I know in some cities homeless people do not want to go to the shelters because there are rules like curfews and no alcohol allowed.

How do you differentiate between a “complaint” and a request for public officials to do their jobs in addressing a growing problem?

That’s messed up

My brother lives in the city and is likely what you’d classify as a scornworthy bro: degrees from two of the country’s top schools, good-paying job, white, etc. I have heard him echo similar (though not as tactless) complaints.

Yeah, this guy is clearly winning at life.

Okay, robe men. *Pats on heads*

I was also asked during a lunch break of a day-long interview if I had kids or a husband. This was before I realized how inappropriate that was. The manager backtracked and said, “I mean, that’s not part of the interview!” I appreciated that he at least walked it back, and it honestly made me more aware what’s proper

I was talking to a rapist one day and they were crying about wanting to have a rape baby and how much they wanted to love that baby. Then they raped a woman and she had a baby. That baby is the apple of his eye. For that reason I support rape and rape babies.

I still have no idea. Examples of it in use would have been helpful. Like when I learned about “on fleek.”

I use my brother’s Amazon Prime membership, so we both know every single thing the other buys. It hasn’t been problematic yet, but it’s kind of funny.

I just got engaged and a coworker made a big fuss about it at work. Now I have colleagues asking me if we want to have kids soon. I’m not going anywhere near that conversation.

Nothing is private. Google likely knows more about you than your spouse or best friends do.

Has she maybe publicly talked about some kind of special diet she’s on? Like where she doesn’t eat cheese or something? That would make it less weird.

I can get behind that.

I don’t find it damaging to the paid models; I find it damaging to the value placed on all women in our society. Again, this is a discussion forum meant for discussion. Participating is as much my business as anyone’s. Have a great day; you really deserve it.

What do you think would be a good dollar threshold to pursue theft? I know when my debit card was compromised and some crook ran up $200 on it I wanted the cops to track him down, but it obviously wasn’t worth their time.

How is a person who refuses to repay owed debt different than a common criminal, and why should they be treated differently?

Honest curiosity: are these women allowed to wear pants to work?

Probably France.
