With Chick-Fil-Et (or whatever) and Mozilla and now with Chilis - can we now begin to organize more fully around putting ethical pressures on corporations?

To be honest, Holmes would probably claim to have no idea what evolution was and then insist that all activities apart from crime-solving completely bored him. To beat that disinterest you'd probably have to murder a bunch of creationists in a Natural History museum using transitional fossils as weapons.

To quote Mycroft/Sherlock on coincidences, "the universe is rarely so lazy."

Chili's has cancelled the event for tomorrow.

It's fascinating to me that you would type this when you clearly don't even have any idea what an HMO is or how it works. To say nothing of the fact that a huge number of doctors don't work for HMO's at all.

- Diagnosis got better (who doesn't remember having a "weird" or "slow" colleague in school that today would actually be diagnosed as some form of autism?).

You realize the medical industry has more to gain by not pushing vaccines right?

Hey, remember earlier in the week when you claimed that the latest shooter at Fort Hood was Muslim and attacked the President for not overreacting to it?

Everyone gets a paycheck, asshole. This is America.

You're saying my doctor doesn't read research or warning labels? You do see how crazy that sounds right? My doctor. The doctor I've been seeing for the better part of 10 years. You know she doesn't read research or warning labels?

Here in Columbus we have a mumps outbreak that as of today has spread to more than 150 people in the last few weeks. It apparently began with OSU campus and has spread to other counties around Franklin Co.

I went to Page 11 and found what you're talking about. You left out the part where it says a child also died of cardiac arrest, motor vehicle accident and accidental drowning. Are you suggesting the drug company is saying their vaccines cause drownings? No, they're not. Because you've taken the autism item out of

Warning labels on Vaccines is not in fact proof that they cause Autism.

You have no idea how this pharmacovigilence business works, do ya?

Now playing

As a pediatrician who has given out thousands of vaccines, and with that experience decided to fully vaccinate my own children as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics and ACIP (or, you know, science), I must say that I love Penn and Teller:

It's money being donated to a group that pushes an anti-vax belief. Even if they try and do other good stuff they're still also doing that. There are a great many Autism charities that recognize actual science and fund the research and help people affected without exposing those same people to any pressure or

At least they're not the groups putting up posters of heroin addicts and saying "you wouldn't let them stick your kid with a needle, why a doctor?" Gee, I don't know, maybe because the doctors have MEDICAL TRAINING YOU ASSHOLES?!

Or, you know, you could ask your pediatrician "and get informed."

But, no, DEFINITELY trust some website over the expert opinion of medical practitioners and researchers with their peer reviewed studies and such.

Are you fucking kidding me? When I find out someone I know doesn't vaccinate their kids, I immediately contact Children's Services.
