I thought google maps was terrible. Quickly replaced it with Magellan's map app. Not saying that the ios maps are better, but I agreed. I don't really miss g maps.

Supply and demand. I'm guessing the trillions of dollars of value is based off of current market value. That market is based off of a perceived rarity.
