MK2 was 1985 through 1992. I’m not sure when they introduced the GTI. There was also the regular GTI and the 16v GTI. I know the 16v GTI was later and had all the goodies. So 1987 is relatively early.

The BBS wheels came with later MKII GLIs. IIRC, the Recaros were absent on earlier ones as well.
