American living in Korea here. This isn’t a problem for me personally, but Korea is a bit behind in work culture. For the most part, women are still very much oppressed in a 1950s kind of way. Having feminist views is generally frowned upon, and most women in jobs are expected to just obey and serve the men. It’s not

Too bad we can’t boycott Closers or Hero Warz.

Kind sir, that was a photo of ‘ripped photo of dick’ instead of dick-ripping. And quite a lot of charges against megallia was, I’d say, exaggerated.

Oh wow I can’t believe there is someone here spreading wrong information about this haha.

You are bad at reading comprehension lol.

Tell me, what is the truth? don’t try to make some story up, nothing is behind of this. The truth is that voice actress get fired because of a 'feminism quotes printed' t-shirt and that’s it.

The fact that Megalian gets labeled as a “man-hate” site for mirroring misogynist comments hilariously proves their point.

She said she isn’t a member nor directly related to the site and doesn’t feel strong about it, even Megalian4 itself says they aren’t directly relayed to the controversial site Megalian.

Who cares... Nexon is a shit company make shit games anyway.

This is absolutely terrible and horrendous, WTF are those companies thinking/doing firing her over a T-shirt she wore that basically says “Not every girl needs to make her life goal waiting for some handsome prince on a white horse” .. Short version being “Girls Do Not Need a Prince”.

So then what kind of feminism do you allow..? Oh wait do feminist need someones approval to act as a feminist? Hell no. What’s wrong with you?

And wait, the site that did that isn’t even the one funded by the tshirt. The shirt raised money for a facebook page.

If I remember correctly they printed out a dic pic, cut it, and set it on fire? Which as an act preceded by a toxic culture filled with revenge porn and rape-for-view is a pretty tame way of letting out anger and frustration?

Woah woah, the T-shirt with “Girls don’t need princes” isn’t blaming men for anything nor is it stupid .. What in heavens name gave that impression!? How is that sentence blaming men for anything? There isn’t any blame even involved in the sentence.

THAT is a controversial opinion?! holly hell, are you serious?! what kinda of things are happening in South Korea for that to be true...?!

Feminism is cool.

Keep in mind this kind of appalling sexism isn’t exclusive to backwards countries like Korea...

Same kinda deal. It’s more an East Asia thing in general, mind. China and Hong Kong are similar, just they don’t have the same contemporary cultural as Korea and Japan, a bit less interesting.

If you think about idol culture, you can understand why the quote would piss some people off. And then you think about why it would piss them off, and you’re left in a s-ton of despair regarding a society that has some rather chauvinistic values about “purity.”
