I think the writing was simply better in S12. The arcs seemed better thought out. Every character in S12 seemed to be acting - for lack of a better word - normal or within reason to storylines. This season seems to be more about manipulating the audience and making characters 1-note to push bad/lackluster stories

Meredith who gleefully encouraged Nathan to ask Maggie out then treat her badly as a way to discourage Maggie's crush instead of just being an adult and telling Maggie the truth? That Meredith? Meredith has been awful this season. but so has almost every character on Grey's (DeLuca may be the only character who hasn't

I stopped watching Scandal when Shonda screwed over Olitz in S5, so I've just been keeping up on the show via recaps here and every Friday morning when I see the low ratings for the show.

Bless Tom Felton for the heavy lifting in his scenes with Danielle Panabaker cause she gave him nothing to work with.

Why am I not surprised by the crapping on Barry and Iris in the recap? So predictable and tedious.

i told some friends with Scandal starting later this year, I bet that Shonda jumped in on focusing more on Grey's then shook things up things up for "drama."

Maggie doesn't suck. I'm still side-eyeing this particular recapper for always trashing the Black women on Shonda shows. Anywho, the writing this season sucks for her but she's less a character this season but a plot contrivance for Meredith and Nathan "angst." When Maggie is her own character, she's quite enjoyable.

I'm going to cut Archie some slack re: the Veronica & Valerie duet moment with the Variety Show mainly because it was a situation that Veronica inserted herself in trying to create a moment with him and then patting herself on the back about it.

Yea, it didn't happen like that unless you're writing fanfic as a comment.

Newp. I appreciate the showrunner's comments about Michael's death but it's a pass for me. I enjoyed Michael a lot and I'm going to always feel that he was killed off so the writers could reunite Jane and Rafael.

I am so beyond over Connor and Oliver's back & forth dance. It's just tired. I use to like them together but halfway though S2, I started getting annoyed by their scenes together and I continue to do so. It feels like they go in circles.

Maya and Rick. She got a lot of heat on twitter & some forums for breaking up rick and Caroline's marriage (which she didn't do, she just exposed Caroline's cheating) and soon came the "uppity, devious golddigger comments. Meanwhile folks were all "Poor, innocent Caroline" even though Caroline was all kinds of

Off the top of my head: The Flash, Sleepy Hollow, TWD with Richonne had push back for the longest during the build up years though it seems more accepted now that it's canon, Haven (not two leads but Evie and Duke), The Vampire Diaries (Bonnie/Damon even though it's in the books), ABC Family's Twisted, The Bold & The

I found the guitar scene so corny.

I was fine with Noah until the singing bit and that actually made me somewhat meh towards him.

Good ep!

I'd say there were 3 great stories with Maeve's growing awareness and "escape" number 3 … or number 1, depending on hierarchy … as Thandie Newton knocked it out of the park every episode she was in.

You're broad brushing MANY things not actually shown on the show, making assumptions on very broad generalizations based on what ifs and maybes. It's your opinion and that's cool but it's a big nah from me re: your explanations.

13 year age gap… I feel stating that is a reach and maturity/compatibility is entirely dependent on many things other than number of years alive.

And yes, I've noticed on the AV Club as well as some other message boards & comments sections that when it comes to pairing the lead WM with a BW - even if she is a lead too - then comments about them being romantic start to get questionable:
"There's something about it I just don't like"
"why can't they stay just
