I mean, if it truly was a bunch of antifa people, pretending to be Trump supporters, storming the Capital, wouldn’t you think Republicans would want to get to the bottom of that? Oh wait...

“I’ll say it again: If I ever meet Rand Paul’s neighbor I’m going to hug him and buy him as many drinks as he can consume.”
Yesterday - get the fuck out
“An angry mob marched to destroy my home and kill my family, I took a stand to defend them.”
“When the mob comes to destroy our home, our state, our nation— I’ll defend it”
I agree with your point here. I understand people questioning not using the term abortion in say TV or movie, but politically I understand it. Focusing on using terms like “choice” and “women’s health” is accurate and conservative people find the term “abortion” offensive. Sure they find everything offensive, but…
Who would have thought a movement lead by an amoral husk of a man would have followers who are amoral husks?
If all the murderer votes had been properly counted, Trump would have surely won.
My mom used to say you should never date a man who spends more time on his hair than you do, which of course is sexist, but then I see Gaetz and I see her reasoning clearly.
Definitely not the only one. Neighbors who I used to have a friendly chat with in the past, I have to force myself to wave to as I watched them keep their trump2020 signs up until February 2021. My friend from work for over 10 years, who continues to say COVID is just the flu. My friends who think masks cause all…
I very much want to leave the house in a t-shirt reading:
I feel similarly. I’ve always been an introverted person with a small group of friends but lots of acquaintances. My husband is a social butterfly. After having kids he forced me to go out on the mom get togethers so that our children would be invited to play dates, which I never understood and abhorred.
Any minor trust I maybe had in humanity is gone. I work with the vacationing public, so the trust level was already absolute shit (particularly around holidays, spring breaks, and the last two weeks of August). I at least used to have some sort of ‘well, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt until you prove…
I cannot be the only one emerging from this 200% more misanthropic than I went into it. There are people I was friends with for years I barely talk to now because they supported reopening... last April. There are people who are no longer friends. 80 percent of my FB feed has been culled to the bone to get rid of idiot…
I hope people masking up when they don’t feel well for general colds and flu becomes a thing among Americans. They’ve shown because of the masks, the flu was way down this year.
Yea I now just feel confused and more anxious. My kid is two, not vaccinated, and likely won’t be for months, possibly not until next year. This just feels like it’s going to give the unvaccinated cover to continue to do whatever the fuck they want, and I’m still not clear if I, as a vaccinated person, can pass covid…
Cool, but I’m not ready to raw dog it in the grocery store yet. I do not wish my face to be perceived. This IS good news for the extremely annoying rule that has my company requiring masks in cubicles, though!
I (fully vaccinated) went to brunch (indoors) for the first time on May 2nd. I wore a mask walking through the restaurant, but took it off at the table where everyone else was vaccinated as well. It felt strange.
This has already happened. There is a large subset of anti-vaxxers who now wear masks in public because they are afraid of breathing in the proteins that the vaccinated shed when they breathe.
We’ve reached a point where an eight (?) year old holding an automatic rifle is considered normal.
I’m struck by the similarities between the spin put on gun violence and that put on rape culture. The right always leans on this bogeyman stranger intending to do harm to you and your family rather than the inconvenient truth that violence is more often perpetrated by the devils we know.
