This is so spot on for me that it hurts. I also like most of his movies but hated Interstellar, and love talking about how much I despised it’s ending. When you put it that way... I downright love that movie.

I know the idea of a teenager running away from home immediately sparks “bratty,” but so far my favorite thing about Hades has been how well Zag interacts with fellow Olympians. He isn’t the standard sarcastic snark or do-good paladin we’re used to, he thoughtfully listens and converses with all of the characters in a…
do you think Kirby even gets enjoyment from eating regular, soulless food?

I picked this up last night and damn. Hades makes roguelikes feel AAA for the first time thanks to all of it’s wonderful touches and improvements on the genre. Dying hasn’t even that big of a deal, because I’m so invested in hearing more from the characters and stories in the hub area. And the voice acting! I’m afraid…
Each eye only ends up with half of the screen that they put inside the headset, so each eye getting 2K means that the screen inside is 4K before it’s split for each eye.
GamePass is getting insane... how does EA (or anyone else) even pull profit from this thing at this point?
I like that they got away from the pin-up damsel stereotype with her, I think this a good case for change. Don’t know how I feel about the hair but it fits the aesthetic well.
A “beta” that close to launch is just a server test. I think a lot of the criticisms of the beta were pretty fair, obviously comment threads go wild with this sort of thing now, but the monetization seems... a tad much. Hopefully the endgame ramps up better than what the beta offered.
Alois does a little bit of a bait and switch with the romance for one of his female friends, which is pretty weird. I also totally missed Lindhardt and Gilbert, but I did go Golden Deer (also... Lindy is a guy? huh). So fair enough! There are more than I gave credit for, so that weakens my point.
I liked this article, and I see your point, but I’d counter-argue that the game and it’s writing is a great example of treating you as a non-binary character, rather than Byleth acting as any kind of example of it themselves. Byleth is nothing more than a player represention and it’s fairly easy to project onto them…
This seems like the least offensive data leak I’ve ever seen. Just cool new info that really only works in Nintendo’s favor.
For all of Halo 5's flaws, it did have a pretty tight arena Slayer that ditched the classes from 4. I hope they continue the trend and we get something great this time around (and a little different, MCC on PC/Xbone does run flawlessly now).
As a Halo die hard to a fault — I’m just here to say that I love this new grappling hook and already miss the ground pound.
Most people write off the 343 stuff but I remember being super hyped about that when it happened. It’s obvious (especially from the EU books/comics/etc) that he’s just a white dude but since it’s from the games people like to bag on it gets swept under the rug.
I think the Messenger did a pretty good job, although they also milked the SNES era?
Damn, how did I miss this? I find myself falling in love with old-school style games that put all the effort into platforming mechanics lately (Shovel Knight, Sonic Mania, and most recently The Messenger come to mind) and this looks like it’s going to fill time before the release of 30XX nicely.
Sonic Mania and Tetris Effect have been my go-to’s for the last year or so. Sometimes I just wanna jam a podcast or have a drink and play something familiar, and those are only 1-2 hour playthroughs and both just feel so great mechanically. All time favorites.

Nah, people are entitled to their opinions, even if they’re stupid, plus everyone’s situation is different. They shouldn’t be doing anything beyond asking for proof of ownership if they went this way imo. I think the only goal should be to just limit the amount of people that leave a “review” for a game they haven’t…
Yea, I think just having an account with the game (and maybe time logged?) is enough. Some people play the game on another platform, or load a game up and find out about microtransactions or lack of accessibility features, etc.
Sure, if you started playing games post 360-era. Halo broke sales records and earned tons of great critical reception at the time of release, there are some great documentaries that analyzed the real effects these games had on people, myself included. This is just an already promised update for the PC version of MCC.
