Gross.

There are plenty of positives about Kentucky, most having to do with the incredible landscape which we haven’t entirely fucked over just yet. It’s nothing to drive out of Pitino-ville and spend the weekend on the lake or camping in the gorge. Even in the city, our parks systems are some of the best in the country.

Congratulations on getting the fuck out. We’re thinking of doing the same. We’d been looking at making a neighborhood move within the city for the last year, but after the election - it’s just like looking at it from the angle of Trump national and Bevin local feels enormously dispiriting.

Right?!

It could be social media. Also, could be the need for daycare has increased over the last 20-30 years as people have to work multiple jobs to make ends meet. Low cost (or lower cost, as none of these places are cheap) centers spring up to meet demand and are often operated at or below the state minimum for

This is exactly was his base wanted. They see maturity and sanity as hallmarks of the coastal liberal queers. They listened to Trump say “grab her by the pussy”, “bleeding out of her wherever”, and mock a disabled reporter. And Trump, in turn, hasn’t done anything out of line - for him.

Oy.

Oh, I am. No snark at all. This seems like a completely volatile situation.

I despise Pence but, like you, I don’t see him getting us involved in a nuclear war because his feelings are tender.

This is legit terrifying. We need to give Trump (who’s a big boy?!) more of his feel good propaganda folders.

They always return to the scene of the crime! Or so I’ve been told.

It’s disturbing, for sure.

No arguing. I think we’re all relatively sane people trying to make sense of a nonsense act of violence. Maybe it’s easier for me to label it as sinister rather than admitting that his shoving the woman in front of a bus had little more thought behind it than me shoving my finger up my own nose.

I always run in loops, so I’m never covering the same ground twice - like, close but off by a block or two from my initial pass. ANYWAY, it isn’t just the circling back; he actively ignored the woman he just pushed into an oncoming bus. If that isn’t sinister, I don’t know what is.

Agree, agree, agree.

And the part about running by again makes me think there may be something more sinister to it. Ugh.

Definitely. Trauma stays with us in odd and long-term ways sometimes. I’ve had a few minor car accidents over the years and can get really twitchy when I have to be a passenger. Who knows how this will stay with her?! I can’t even imagine.

Caity Weaver always has the final word.

This is assault. I understand getting annoyed by slow walkers or people who seem to have no destination in mind, but Jeeezus. He has all the room in the world to navigate that sidewalk. This is just inexplicable.
