I admit I didn’t play Let’s Go...but how is this any different than previous games that already featured the full Dex, but you had to own an older generation in order to transfer the Pokemon into it?

Just a heads up: If you get shitty or mean in these comments I’ll remove them. Go be an asshole somewhere else.

Actually, it wasn't. But it should be studied as well, on account of how influential the author was.

i hear the communists killed seven hundred billion people between 1945 and 1950.

I am in my early 30s and have lived in The United States of America for my entire life. I am African-American and me and my family have been victims of the most oppressive and difficult elements of modern capitalism.

How is what you said at odds with the comment you’re replying to?

Nobody who has suffered under Capitalism, or you know, has read a history book, thinks Capitalism is a good thing. It’s just old burnt out yuppies, dumb Boomers who think they’re oppressed, and actual violent revolutionaries who think Capitalism works. Ask the ghosts of 100 million people who died under its heel in

Erm... all political positions in Disco Elysium are caricatures. The game goes out of its way to point that out. It’s pretty clear the creator have a rather good grasp on the theories they are satirizing, but that does not change the fact that it is, well, satire.

As opposed to Capitalism, which has killed literally no one ever surely.

Uh oh a fascist who whines about black people and anti-cop attitudes and how his political values get correctly identified as fascist is upset

Nobody whines like people who whine what snowflakes everyone else is, and with not a shred of self-awareness

“ I was completely baffled by how easily DE read my political siding”

If not, I encourage you to read The Communist Manifesto, which is about how a ghost called “communism” is haunting Europe. It’s pretty radical.

Marxism is problematic only in the sense that Marx didn’t view himself as a Marxist. It was never meant to be dogmatic, that’s what self-critique means.

The classic:

“AND YET YOU LIVE IN A SOCIETY, CURIOUS????”

“and making games for a capitalist market.”

If anything both Marx and Engels have been proven more correct.

Basically convinced me to play Disco Elysium.

Though if you want to read something more accessible than Manifesto, Huey Newton is an excellent place to start. ‘Revolutionary Suicide’ is an incendiary title but the book is excellent and easier to parse than Marx or Lenin.
