Okay so I've watched at least one "prestige TV" show and I think the idea is dumb. It's just a TV show. I thought it was a very good one, but I didn't think it was part of some elite class of shows.

Also I should point out that I'm not sure I've even ever watched a "prestige TV" show (does Legion count?) so don't listen to me anyway.

I always thought the term "prestige TV" was stupid anyway. It's just TV that a bunch of critics think is good. The fact that a lot of them have similar traits is just because people copy each other. It's not like prestige is a genre.
