No, they aren’t. And it’s not a great excuse. They effed with the proportions to fix a problem that didn’t exist. If BMW customers were really complaining about it being difficult getting in and out of BMW sedans, then they deserve what they got.

I need the length and cargo space of a wagon, but i want the lightness, handling, and low seating position of a sedan. I also want roof rails so i can carry long paddleboards on the roof. Agreed. I said the same and much preferred their earlier concepts and the promises. There were 4 years between this 2009 concept and the first FRS. about half way between that i said what im hoping this car is like is an s2000, then just bought a used S2000 instead. Glad i did. i enjoyed driving the S2000 far more…
for me it was the FRS/BRZ. Id been following it since the first concept which said it would be light, over 200hp, and very inexpensive. But then i watched as each new concept made it uglier and the price rose way over their initial claims. So after waiting years i realized a used S2000 has all the things i was hoping…
