these sound great but for me thats about the only appeal

wasnt sure if you saw my post i made just after yours. i too owned a manual with manual everything then went to the newer model with an auto. year the auto sucks. the 2003 is a blast compared to the 2009. lighter, much better suspension, vastly superior steering, even the interior is better with more space. but being

never realized how this car looks a lot like a lotus Emira and Evora combination

this is good. I fully expect this to accelerate as battery tech improves and continues to come down in price, and also when consumers realize they dont need so much range and can opt for cheaper lower range EVs where they arent lugging around 200 extra miles of range worth of batteries that they dont use

In 2008 i bought a 2003 manual base with manual everything even windows. It had 55k miles and i bought it for $5800. in 2011 sold it with 115k miles for $5500. Bought the 2009 auto vibe manual windows. It had 12k miles and was $10900. drove it to 2016 to 80k or so. Sold it with body damage for a discount to a friend

I owned two pontiac vibes and they were the cheapest most reliable cars to own. The 2003 manual was the most fun but later got a 2009 auto because of a broken foot. The Matrix XRS and Vibe GT are both fun with their 6-speed manual and high rev engine. very reliable cars and that first gen handles well especially with

cargo space on the mazda3 is 20.1, the CX-50 is 31
cargo space with seats down Mazda3 47, CX-50 56
also they are in no way competitors are you thinking the CX-30? it has a tiny bit less space than the mazda 3

does it still have that crappy torsion rear suspension or it is independent rear. cause torsion rear will kill the handling

VW almost made a factory modern version of this. 1900lbs with a 200hp ducati motor with a 12,000 rpm redline

I think marketing accidentally swapped the toyota and subaru names by acccident. Solterra totally sounds toyota

This will be interesting when you can get $7500 off a Subaru Solterra and not off the Toyota zb4xyzfu

I remember reading these cars had horrible torque steer. The key to a good high performance FWD is good suspension geometry that eliminates torque steer. the only high power FWD car ive driven that has this quality is the MK7 GTI. you can feed 400ft-lb of torque through their front wheels and not experience torque

you arent getting 1.9% welcome to 2022

still holds true in 2022.

The real question is, what will be the official uniform of owners of the new EVs?

you can tell thats a bad guy because he doesnt have a nose

yeah its pretty great except for the super heavy weight.  The lexus NX450h gets the same engine now which is a more attractive vehicle in and out.  might be what i replace my wagon with eventually. working from home i could do almost all commutes on electricity only but have the hybrid gas power and get 36mpg on road

RAV-4 v6 did 0-60 in about 6.4 with a 1/4 mile of 14.4

around town they dont feel excessively slow. they have quick response from the electric motors so in normal driving they are plenty. if you floor then sure they arent great but still faster than what was considered normal or even sporty in the 80s
