I second the wagon suggestion though the ones with AWD like the alltrack dont get great mileage. GTI on the other hand get incredible mileage and have the same passenger space but less cargo space.
Id add to the list replacing sparkplugs on a flat engine like a Subaru WRX with its flat 4.
Or on the GTI replacing the air filter is not hard but annoying since you dont undo a clip but rather have to unscrew 7 screws with a special tool you may not have
scrolled through all the posts and searched for your name and no such post appears
overall the manuals do get better mileage than the DSG because you have more options on how you can drive them and that helps
yes checked with paper. i once drove from houston to austin and got 38.5 mpg and was not going slow. Overall the computer was 0.5-1mpg better than paper calculations for my car
yes duh. and the GTI is lighter and also has a more efficient engine with more modern tech
GTI is underrated the WRX is overrated. When i owned a 2002 no matter how i drove it it could not get better than 24mpg. driving the GTI the same way would get massively higher than its rated mpgs
This is one of the reasons in 2016 i got a GTI. one of the many. But the WRX is known for getting even worse mileage than its rated at and the GTI can consistently get better. Mine with a tune making 330hp was capable on getting 39mpg on the way to work with traffic
yeah for me a fat D pilar makes a car look muscular and solid.
like the difference between these two
Personally i thing it would look more muscular if that rear window were wrapped in body color. but really liking the design
having to replace a timing belt at 60k thankfully almost everyone has moved to timing chains now that last much longer
brake pads last incredibly long on EVs usually 100k-150k miles.
yeah its meant to be a halo car not a car styles like a $150k version of an SUV with 2drs
I find their interior design disappointing. The concept was great the final interior i think is worse than many of their lesser prodicts
concept interior
in 2016 it was apple carplay. It sucked so bad i switched to android and couldnt be happier with andriod auto. 3 years later carplay mostly caught up but android auto has been improved too
i think all SUVs are ugly and mostly look the same. but this looks significantly different than most SUVs
