and have you ever owned a WRX? launghing from a stand still is a good way to destroy the drivetrain. they dont hold up well to that abuse and with a manual its quite difficult to launch in the manner that car reviewers to. Want something that will launch consistently? get a DSG Golf R

or if you make it relatively quickly swappable, you could have just one battery for your around town commutes and add batteries for a road trip by renting them. headed out of town, swap the range extending battery in, get to your destination and dont have time to charge, swap for a charged one, return home and return…

I wish electric cars were offered with battery capacity options for the owner. If a car like this had say 3 banks of batteries that were reasonably easy to remove/replace by a mechanic, you could offer it to the public at different price points with the option of expanding or replacing capacity in the future.
