if you want cheap and reliable and efficient and practical but not to fast, go with a Matrix XRS. 6 speed manual, high rev 1.8L from the civic GTS, lots of fun to drive, bullet proof reliable, and plenty of space. Will be about the cheapest car to own and operate too. If you dont need to seat 4 and haul stuff then get

that a good answer. do love these

I knew i wanted my first car to be a manual when i was 16. got a used 86 MR2, and couldnt even test drive it. dad drove it home for me and i learned on it

I mean how rad would this be

I have a dark blue alltrack an im so so tempted to give it a wood vinyl wrap like this

yeah my interior is black so it looks good

Just do like i did and give your sportwagen (in my case alltrack) the plaid seats from the GTI ;)

it was the ugliest dang thing ive ever seen

then at some point they actually showed this piece of crap

and before that concept they had this

thinking mother earth dealt some karma there

why are they wearing bomb collars from the Running Man?

the way it hit the truck then continued to bump into it makes it look like the car was in reverse with its engine on. it did not look like only gravity was acting on it because of how abrupt its change in direction was

I do wish this car was more of a wagon. make it something like this same size more cargo better looking IMO. (my crappy photoshop)

ha yeah. but seriously how great would it be if Kia were to take that higher hp rear motor and put it in a car thats fun to drive like a 2seat sports car. perfect fun short range commuter

I agree the Soul EV is a compelling cheap EV but its likely not going to be anywhere near as good considering its also a gas powered car platform

i rarely ever drive more than 100 miles in a day.  most days under 50 miles.  if i need to road trip we take my wifes SUV.  if i need to go more than 300 miles i fly if i can.  EVs perfectly suit at least 75% of the potential owners out there for all their needs.

would be interesting to see another spec that just has the 270kw rear motor.  That would be a 368hp RWD model that would likely be lighter than the 313hp and cheaper to make

“Doesnt need to come with a hefty price tag”

Im a fan of that engine, and good purchase. though the cx-9 is a good deal when not fully loaded. Glad they put that engine in the cx-30 but do wish it had a better transmission to go with it
