I am a recent comics fan, brought in by the MCU but perpetually in love with the DC Universe. One thing that has been enormously helpful has been the wikification of comic lore. After low hanging fruit like Watchmen, I went Forth World, Crisis(es), Morrison.

You seem to frequently say “comics” when you mean “superhero comics.” The former can hardly be reduced to the latter; they aren’t synonyms. Also, not all films are romantic comedies and not all novels are a Bildungsroman.

Is that why Marvel just did a very soft type of reboot and DC is planning one? Because things are going so well?
