Evangelicals in the US had no problem voting for Trump. Religion for some is just a pose. At least the anti-Gussers in the UK have a sense of gentility and beliefs that are truly strongly-held. I am on the fence however when it comes to the palatability of asparagus.

Conservatives seemingly want to have it both ways. They praise Pence for his values, while at the same time ignoring Trump’s absence of values. Sounds like hypocrisy to me.

No, America has long been fucked, but it’s likely that way, at least in part, because of spineless lickspittles such as yourself who tend to react to even abstract or illegitimate authority with a dog-like obedience. Such a phenomenon goes a long way in explaining Trump’s toxic appeal.

This is a good piece. A useful piece. But I’ve always been critical of the Kübler-Ross model. Academics in psychology dismiss the “stages of grief” as being non-scientific, and point out the concept was disseminated almost wholly by the popular press. I know my experiences have never matched up with the model.
