I loved this episode but I’m frustrated how the show glossed over Elizabeth’s own war POV. Edward/David tries to act like she couldn’t understand but Elizabeth served during the war, she experience aerial bombing. His betrayal would have felt more personal and they don’t engage with that at all. It would have added…

I don’t understand. Almost the entire revelation scene was about how he had betrayed his people by encouraging bombings and plotting to put down an uprising. The king’s “moment” was about how the people would justly feel betrayed. They spend almost no time on the Nazis as the most evil people ever.

Did anyone else initially think the Nazi officer in the opening sequence was Jared Harris? I thought it was quite odd that the king was wearing a swastika, but then I realized I was stupid.
