I was complaining to my friend last night that the dude who killed himself kind of only had himself to blame for what happened to him, since he was a diplomat from Earth who took it upon himself to share secrets with a rival nation.

In all honesty, I have no idea how to turn close captioning on.

Welp

Plus I bet the digital version has subtitles if you really can't understand.

Thanks Dude! It probably seems like I'm being obtuse, but I really didn't hear that. I just missed the "Dawes" and the rest I assumed to be referring to Julie Mao's father, per the above guesses.

Seems like you edited your comment to avoid spoilers, which I think was smart, but I also really appreciated your L.A. Confidential reference.

Do we know at this point who he thinks it is?

I haven't read the books so don't spoil me on anything, but can someone explain the scene where Miller gets fired? I took the implication to be that Julie Mao's father - who has been established to be super rich and also has already paid off the chief, establishing a relationship - was the one who has now paid off

I also got that he threw his rocks at the cops - I was unclear about whether or not they were able to dodge the rocks (it looked like a partial hit, but not enough to destroy the ship).

I let him go.

I always loved that O'Brian let Harte go out like a boss even though he was such a shitty dude.
