That an incredibly defeatest attitude, that also sees this whole debacle as a binary issue, either is or is not. They don’t need to go Grand Inquisition, but they can definitely start punching back, or at least harshly refute claims they’re making.

Which is why the DNC needs to get more aggressive. Leadership has been toothless in the face of every damn scandal that’s come out. We need our own firebrands, otherwise we’re just going to be bowled over again by the GOP propaganda machine.

But the term is “domestic violence”, not “domestic” “violence”. Words, like letters, often take different meanings when combined in specific ways.
