And judging solely by the few screenshots released of Blood and Wine, I’m fully prepared to put this in my personal top 5 games I’ve played, a list dating back to around 1988.

I’d say I’d be somewhat disappointed if O’Dimm or Von Everic don’t make an appearance in Blood and Wine. But to be honest, Hearts of Stone was a phenomenal piece of DLC. Reminded me of when I played Mass Effect 2’s Shadow Broker DLC.

Seriously. This fucking game. This might be the only instance where I got suckered into getting the pass at a Gamestop and retroactively didn't regret it. CD Projekt Red has ensured a FROM software level of devotion from me.

Knowing about Geralt and Yen isn’t suspicious in and itself — they are both minor celebrities well known from Dandelion’s romantic ballads across the North. What’s more suspicious is how convenient Gaunter’s appearance is and how he knows exactly what Geralt needs to know. But it is cool that a character who could

In retrospective, that scene is amazing. All the foreshadowing that leads to Heart of Stone and when you first play the game, you even forget about it.

Hearts of Stone is one of the best dlcs I played in a long time. Gaunter is one of the many reasons that make it memorable.

Maybe I only remember him since I recently started playing the game from the beginning again. But I remembered him easily as the guy you meet at the inn in White Orchard that seems to know way too much about Geralt and Yen and pretty sure mentions he’s a merchant of mirrors.

I feel like your criticisms are more aptly applied to Fallout than the Witcher. Except Fallout doesn't have any good main story content.

Man, on one hand I want to star you for praising Witcher 3 and recommending the books, on the other I want to go over to your house and slap you across the face for what you said about tLoU.
Guess I’ll just do none of those things. Carry on.

“it just feel like the bar is being massively lowered. It doesn’t matter if your game come out super buggy

Sorry the way you write I just saw the important parts. Buggy, terrible controls, incredibly dull combat and variety, repetitive side quests. All can be said of FO4.

I thought you were talking about Fallout 4 until you got to DLC.

Witcher 3 is a freaking masterpiece. I’m still playing it, and it is truly rocketing up my favorites list. It’s an achievement, and one of the greatest pieces of interactive media ever made, in my humble opinion. It even got me back into reading with those excellent books.

Even if you didn’t enjoy it, you have to understand why it won.

For me, the only thing I think should have beat Fallout 4 was The Witcher 3, so I’m not at all disappointed, I marvel at how ridiculously well-made The Witcher 3 is.

Shut up, furry.
