I somewhat agree with the sentiment that calling this white nationalist/supremacist movement “Nazi” does kind of lend an element of foreignness, if only because that sense of foreignness is a result of our country’s efforts to hide and/or whitewash our own history. In fact, this ideology has deep roots in this country.

American nazi works for me—call a spade a spade. After all, Trump is the personification of Hitler 2.0 and he will have American Goebbels right there in the White House spewing his propaganda.

I’m feeling really basic right now. I’m going with “Racists.”

I call ‘em alt-reich when I need something very short, like for Twitter.

The fact that Richard Spencer is the one who coined this term is even more alarming. Spencer is a white supremacist who heads the very white supremacist National Policy Institute. He is a fucking white supremacist, there’s no tiptoeing around this and we’re letting him write the narrative of who he is/these people

I mean, “Nazi” was the preferred moniker of, yanno, the Nazis, and nobody needed to rebrand them to something more literal. The name acquired an appropriate grossness because it was theirs. I expect the same will happen quite quickly here.

Well, conservatives are always complaining about “PC Culture”. Fine we’ll call it like it is you cousin fucking Nazis.

Probably won’t.

BTW, this rebranding is nothing new. David Duke tried this same shit in one of his failed erstwhile comebacks. He dressed up in a suit, got some plastic surgery and stop burning crosses.

Will the mainstream media be able to print what they really are? Assholes. Douchebags. Fucking scum. Ignorant asshats.

I’ve used “Supremacist Right”, since that not only connects them into the right-wing, but also ties in their ideological lineage. Honestly, though, I’m not too bothered by “Alt-Right” - I don’t think it’s euphemistic in the way that, say, “Pro-Life” is.

Then you should go hang somewhere else. That’s what they are, and that’s what we’ll call them. They’re fucking proud of it. Let them fucking own it.

ergo, they are fucking Nazis.

Whatever they are, I as a black man don’t have the privilege or time of worrying about what to call them. They are an existential threat to my well-being and life is what they are.

You glossed over the best part of the whole segment. At the end of the interview, Carrie Fisher tells Savannah Guthrie “congratulations on the sex.”

Hear fucking hear. These are Bannon’s boys, racist, Nazi dick swizzles.

As far as I’m concerned:

I READ THIS IN HER VOICE.

I had 29. I had no idea there were so many gossip enthusiasts on the north side of Indianapolis.
