I just posted the same thing. It's amazing how everyone's reading comprehension going down the shitter when there's an opportunity to bash this lady.

Presumably because people at a Lena Dunham book tour would want a T Shirt with her name on it the same way that people attending a concert want a T Shirt with that band on it....
Well, it's a part of her book tour. It's in the same font/color scheme as her book color. If this was just like her randomly coming out with a t-shirt, that'd be weird, but it seems like it's coinciding with her speaking tour somehow. It's also a part of an initiative that she's doing with Planned Parenthood to get…
Yea I was super confused by that editorial comment as well. Did they want her to walk exclusively through Williamsburg or something? She was clearly walking all over Manhattan in different areas - I recognized them! I'm usually the first to shout THATS RACIST but I do not believe that is the case here.
"...showed a white women wandering through black and Latino neighborhoods in New York, because the white ones weren't open?"
WTF is this editorial nonsense? I'm sorry, is all of New York racially segregated? Is that a thing? Jessica Williams did the same thing on the Daily Show and had the same results. And Kara…
"Their final (admittedly edited down) video showed a white women wandering through black and Latino neighborhoods in New York, because the white ones weren't open?"

I had my gallbladder out last winter and, no lie, I was psyched to have five days in bed with almost no expectations. Three weeks would be extra-awesome, as long as there wasn't a financial issue.
I'd kind of love a three-week quarantine. You could finally get to the bottom of your Netflix queue.
I might be wrong, but she seems like kind of an asshole.
Seriously wtf. These people are lucky. I don't get trick-or-treaters where I live (very small neighborhood, a lot of old people). I wish the poorer neighborhoods near me would drop off their kids. I would spoil the hell of them!
So true. If someone thinks it's the poor people that are bankrupting our country, they are deluded.
But if you allow them to be happy, they'll never feel the need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. The Poors must be kept in their place, silly!
But it just bugs me, because we already pay more than enough taxes toward actual social services.
"...or is it legitimately a free-for-all in which people hunt down the best candy grounds for their kids?"
I read this yesterday, and I do not understand this person on any level. Buy candy and hand it out. If you run out of candy, turn your light off. The end.
I think it is both more simple, and more complicated than that. Legally, in most states, there is a very specific point drawn on a line for what is considered abuse - you can spank, but not do anything that causes a mark to be left, etc is usually the guideline. I do agree that the terminology is hard to deal with.
Your last para is particularly good.
I don't know who "Madelaine Davies" is, but she sounds dangerous.
The only right answer is to fuck Anderson Cooper, marry Neil Patrick Harris, and kill Andy Cohen. I believe these are self-explanatory so I won't bore you with my reasoning.
